A long time ago
my tears were living fire,
perfect, white yearning snow.
I didn’t know why,
or how to let you go.
A long time ago
I lost you,
I lost last traces of
commandeering self-control,
in this silent darkness made of
dependent flesh and surging bones.
Infinity barks violently back,
like a storming shadow alone.
I wonder — I fear, too hastily —
if that old feel…
