The 'Drill rap' suits the sardonic humour much better than US 'hip-hop' or such.
London, 'the 'scene of the grime', so to speak, with it's subculture of violent crime themed 'Drill' is the perfect stage and much earthier than millionaires in white fur coats, stood next to swimming pools, 'shouting about their things', which let's face it, has always been utterly ridiculous, with a tang of obscenity. The Dor Brothers are true satirists for the AI age. Another interesting observation: I have noticed that all age groups laugh knowingly. I haven't seen that since the days of 'Spitting Image'.
The claw is always seeking the next iteration of 'folk music' upon which to latch, for its cut, tithe, or even worse 'tribute'. Skiffle, folk/folk rock, Punk, Grime, Drill-all grass roots 'scenes'. I love that purity of origin. My favourite 'boy band' were of course The Monkees, driven by genuine performing talent and great writing/production. The sad fact is that most manufactured bands are utterly ripped-off by their (usual) suspect handlers...
Currently listening to Traffic, Bert Jansch, PIL, Terry Reid, and lots of unknown stuff fed to me by musical experts on Mixcloud.
Clown planet/ matrix/ simulation!sat in macdonalds( cheap coffee) wondering why I hadn't seen a copper for a few weeks, and within 2 seconds, cop car with blue lights on. They been shadowing me down the cut,(canal) ,towns, even helicopters passing straight over my boat, even when I was in the middle of a field ffs! Nice of the boys in blue to watch my back😎. Then ,watched the walking dead, series 5,the one with the black priest in it,next day in aldi exact double of the bloke walks past me,dressed all in black, only thing missing was his dog collar,oh yes this is deffo a simulation
My friend ,let's be blunt here,if you F..around ,eventually you will find out...and they are no exemption from the rule, they think they are,but they are not.
